Sitting within the existing footprint, the design has minimal impact on this sensitive landscape and is sympathetic to the scale, colours and materials of the original building.
The new storage enclosure to the rear includes cleverly concealed lift-up hatches, making possible an extra servery for use during parklands events. The playful tiled facade pattern is drawn from the original terrazzo tiled servery on the opposing facade.
