In This Place: The history of the Migration Museum site-Gallery 7

Recently completed: A new Gallery for the MigrationMuseum of South Australia. Our approach has been based on two key principles that have allowed us to develop innovative and interesting outcomes:

The experience is about engagement and resonance; the content and layout are set up as a ‘game’ – a series of questions the visitor then needs to investigate to find the answer.

We amplify the tension between the building as an artefact and as a ‘container’. By considering the building as the main artefact, built outcomes are sympathetic and dialogic.
